Gynecology-Obstetrics
The health of the mother-child is our priority and this can be seen in the reduction of maternal mortality. With an average of six to ten births per day, our medical team of four (4) gynecologists and obstetricians and five seniors specializing in the last year of training spares no effort to preserve the life of the mother and the child.
Pediatrics
Formerly operating in a cramped building, the hospital has just provided this department with a new building rehabilitated and equipped with HPGRB’s own funds, with a reception capacity and equipment that meet the standards.
Internal Medicine
Under the direction of eight (8) medical specialists, the department offers services in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Hepato-Gastroenterology, Pneumology and Nephrology with a hemodialysis center
Medical Biology
The HPGRB Laboratory is one of the major laboratories in the Great Lakes region offering tertiary level services in the East of the country, notably for the provinces of South Kivu, North Kivu, Orientale and part of Burundi.
The Laboratory is subdivided into six (6) departments: Anatomopathology, Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology and Blood Bank.
Anatomopathology
the Anatomopathology Department allows us to perform biopsies (treatment of different organ tissues in order to determine the specificity of the pathology, cases of tumor and cancer and cytologies (determination of abnormal cells in the cervix ”pap test” or either by the puncture fluid).
